According to Rivals and JucoJunction, this young man will visit Drake this weekend.

link - http://jucojunction.rivals.com/content.asp?highlight=drake&CID=795451

"Rudy Meo, (SO) 6-foot-4 from Evanston, IL, will visit Drake University this coming weekend. Meo averaged 14.7 ppg and 5 rebounds this past season. Meo has already visited UC-Riverside and Youngstown State."

Also according to "Bret", the guy who runs the JucoJuntion message boards, a young man named Royal Edwards has either already visited or is going to visit. Bret posted that he had spoke with Royal's coach at Yuba CC and he said Royal was in the process of getting his visit worked out. That was posted about 3 weeks ago.

DUB, have you noticed the difference in tone this year when this board is discussing names of players who Drake might be looking at? Instead of those embarrassingly, desparate, CU-like pleadings for marginal players who would not have contributed (as your dredging up of old posts shows), pracks like DT and McB seem to be relatively urbane. Do you think it's because of a renewed confidence in the program or are they finally taking the right meds?

Yeah, there did seem to be some desperation after last season. And, obviously, some of the players being mentioned as possible Drake recruits didn't set the world on fire at their new schools this season.....which is why I dug up those old posts.

I don't think there was a single player on the current Drake roster that was ever mentioned on this board or ValleyTalk until after they either commited or signed. In other words, we really have no clue who the coaching staff is looking at.

I beg to differ. McBull and I know, we're just keeping secrets about recruits.

Lots of people at the summer league games....never seen anybody keeping stats except the official scorekeeper.

Because he's jealous that he can't go to summer league basketball games. He has to go watch paint dry.
