The benefits of this win on national TV cannot be underestimated. Emmenecker will be remembered like Willie McCarter.

DT.....Adam is just a balls to the wall player. The computer wore tennis shoes. I am so very proud of him and all of the Bulldogs!

Still want to take a switch to JMH, though.

Congrats on the big win. I would enjoy hearing Bilas' take on this. The Bulldogs have made the Valley proud and will continue to do so in the big dance. Congrats on a great season, and I have enjoyed watching your team play.

Good luck the rest of the way out (you won't need it).

Midnight Madness *better* show Leonard's alley oop.... oh, Adam's save and dish, too...... and take your pick of JY's plays...and Adam's bucket that he put up in the air and dropped in.... they should show KK's trey too because that came at a critical time....

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from Boston's, and that was absolutely amazing. What a great fought game by both teams. I really liked the inside scoring presence we had. JY is phenomal, what 18 in the first half, are you kidding me. This guy is unreal. AE is just a stud. Klayton keeps hitting big three's, LH is the high flying machine, and Bucky just another ho hum double double.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hate the Quad Cities, its all about Iowa and Illinois, and nothing about Drake.

I completely agree with DrakeGuy. Interior passing was among the best I have seen from any team all year.

From the Butler board:

They came to play. They played smarter. They beat us to loose balls. They outrebounded us. Their fundamentals were much better than our's. They made the plays. They are a damn good ballclub.

THANKS!

Just fishing around on the Butler hoops site:

...Drake is showing us that are a team to be reckoned with...but we've missed a lot of shots.

...They came to play. They played smarter. They beat us to loose balls. They outrebounded us. Their fundamentals were much better than our's. They made the plays. They are a damn good ballclub.

...I don't know what pissed me off more, the officiating, the announcers continually saying it was a wonderfully officiated game, or the announcers love of emmenecker.

...I'm speechless. I've never seen a worse officiated game in my entire life. Dreadful. The officials have never decided a game until now...

...I like how emmenecker was giving the ref a #%%@$%$@ during every timeout. ESPN should hire refs from a conference not playing in the game. I offered to equal whatever drake gave the refs but they didnt respond. I made my opinion known to them as best I could. Thank you to everyone who threw garbage on the court becuase I couldnt and it may have been the best way to let the refs know they just got awat with murder and stole my soul, but it will be returned before the wright state game.

...As I said at the end. The only regret about the bottles being thrown was that they missed those hacks in the stripes.
----------

GREAT GAME, DRAKE, SO PROUD OF THE TEAM!!!

Gut,
I have to say that is high class respect from a high class program. I also have to say that was the best ref'ed game I have seen Drake play in. They were consistant, solid, correct most of the time, every thing a ref should be. No one is going to perfect, but these guys were pretty close. Just like our Drake Bulldogs.

Ahhh, DrakeGuy, I don't care what they say about ya. I still like you.

Good job, buddy!!

Kinda takes the sting out of that BU loss the other night, don't it?

Butler's freshman forward Matt Howard is a helluva player. That kid wore us out. We seemed to tighten up on him a bit in the second half, but first half he was everywhere.

Yup....hell of a freshman, wow.

Still, there were a few times when he took it wide open to the hoop. We usually get in front of bulldozers like that and grab a charge. No problem like you said, we pulled the noose a little tighter as the game went on. At least, just enough.

Boston's must have been a blast. We had more than 30 people cheering on the Drake Bulldogs at Joe Sensor's in Bloomington MN. We all had a fantastic time thanks to Adam, Josh, Bucky, Klayton, John Michael and Brent. Of course, we will all see Leonard on the Top Ten Tonight.

Great win and great momentum now as March is approaching.

How about those Bulldogs (the ones from Iowa)? Does Digger even know where Iowa is?

Digger couldn't find his arse with both hands and a GPS. Though if he asked Jay Bilas he'd feel movement within.

Is summer league post season play?

Now show me something!!!!! Okay!!!! I've seen enough. You can stop now.

Wow. Somebody's gotta post us a pic of Leonard 2 feet above the rim.
Hilarious, the Butler comments about the officiating. Guess it was just pretty even, in reality. Mike Green said he definitely fouled Josh with 20 seconds left.
Kinda fun to hear Larry's call at the end of the game on national radio. Although, at the next break they started to call Drake "Duke". It's all hilarious. Guess they'll all freakin' have a hard time doubting Drake now.
Emmenecker, wow. The Man just makes plays.

I am kind of surprised to see the rebounding edge DU enjoyed. 34 to 27 is a pretty decisive advantage. Watching the game, it seemed like we were getting our share. But I would not have guessed we got 7 more than they did. Way to go Bucky (11), Leonard (7) and Adam (6).

Bucky was just spectacular in the first half. Leonard is as athletic as anybody in the country. Emmenecker, what can you say? It's just unbelievable what he's done this year.
It's just spectacular that Josh Young had 25 points and we're talking about the other guys. What a team.
