| He's quoted in an article last week as saying he had zero contact with Indiana State and they made an offer. It surprised him. He is also quoted as saying that all the schools are on equal footing right now and he isn't close to making any choices. He used words like, "me and family will sit down and figure things out", or something close to that. Just because his Dad went to ISU doesn't mean jack sqwat about a different time and a different set of circumstances. Maybe your right and maybe your wrong DT.. if Drake starts winning and beating not only the Cyclones, Sqwakeyes, and Puddy Tats on consistent basis .. but the rest of the MVC, maybe the young man will take a better view in a year or two. Drake has some really good momentum from last year. Let's hope the success continues to grow.

| Why even post info on this kid? Are you sleeping with Keno and he's been dreaming about getting an Iowa stud like this to come to Drake?

| This kid is really, really good. We won't get him and I wouldn't be surprised if Iowa State loses out to a bigger program.

| Dawg_tired (7/1/2007) This kid is really, really good. We won't get him and I wouldn't be surprised if Iowa State loses out to a bigger program.
His father played for Iowa State, and he lives in Ames....Iowa State has to be considered the front runner.
He is a very good player.....if he grows another 3-4 inches, he could be scary good.

| Maybe I'm late to this particular site but I'm impressed with the write-ups, even without the "premium subscription" service.

5.27.07 - Iowa prospects starting to generate some heat
Class of 2008 prospect Grant Gibbs (Linn Mar) who plays with the Martin Brothers Select program might very well be the hottest prospect in Iowa right now as he has really taken off this spring and recently received offers from Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Iowa, and Wisconsin to play basketball.
Not to be outdone is 2009 prospect Reece Uhlenhopp (Urbandale) who plays with the All Iowa Attack. Currently listed as the #1 Class of 2009 prospect in Iowa, Uhlenhopp has offers on the table from DRAKE and Indiana State in recent weeks.
Class of 2010 prospect Harrison Barnes (Ames) might be making the biggest noise of the spring though with the All Iowa Attack as the 6'6" F has collected two offers from Iowa State and Indiana State in recent weeks.
5.31.07 - 08' G Kyle Jones of East Troy continues to impress!
One of the best kept secrets in Wisconsin could be 6'4" Combo guard Kyle Jones of East Troy. Jones who plays with the East Troy Hoops Club during the spring/summer travel season has a solid overall floor game, can handle the ball, makes good decisions and also has solid range on his jump shot that extends beyond the 3 point line with consistency.
He really put down a solid performance at the 2007 Swish & Dish Spring Warm-Up earlier this year in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as he was named to the 17u All-Tournament team in a field that included the likes of D.T.A., WI Playground, Milwaukee Running Rebels, Spiece Indy Heat, Mac Irvin Fire, Ferrari, Team Supreme Kings, St. Louis Eagles, PC Players, Wisconsin Force, along with many other solid programs.
While he is a solid prospect on the court, he's equally solid in the classroom as he is on the National Honor Society and has already posted an impressive score on his ACT as well. While UW-Steven's Point and UW-Platteville have shown interest, D1 schools like Colgate, Cornell, DRAKE, and The Citadel have also shown interest in recent weeks.

| You know .... what I just witnessed represents all that is wrong with college athletics. What a frick'n joke. Then to top it all off the kid picks Roy Williams ... he never really mentioned North Carolina, he announced Roy Freak'n Williams. North Carolina was kind of an after thought. What a complete joke. If I were a Cyclone fan I'd be pissed off.

| Didn't see it and heard only some lead up in the car on the radio. It sounded like the gym was loaded with ISU fans, there were shouts of "Cyclone Power" etc. For the kid to then stand up there and say North Carolina -- this thing was all about TV hype. Ames and ISU got played.
