Who needs depth, just play the starters 40 minutes a game, right Rawdog?

Something like that:
Starters should be able to go 40 mins. if called upon to go the
distance. That's why they are "starters."

Except for:
- injury
- foul trouble
- game in hand
- match up difficulty

Why mess with the mix.....
You know that..

One of my friends asked me the same thing. Could we legally/ethically end the sean jones experiment and give him that scholly? Perhaps give him a academic scholarship, although I don't think those are too "high" on his priority list.

Do you think it arrogant for the Iowa recruit (I forgot his name) to de-commit from Iowa but is wanting the new coaching staff to re-recruit him? I see his point as he wants to know what he is getting into, but on the other hand who the hell does he think he is? Jess Settles?

Pearl has lots of history in the midwest and in the Big Ten.

If it happens, I think it would be good for Iowa and bad for Drake. He would build Iowa back into a powerhouse. I have always thought of him as a great coach even dating back to his UW-Milwaukee teams.

If he takes Tennessee to the Final Four (or farther) it may be hard for him to leave.

Pearl has lots of history in the midwest and in the Big Ten. I am certain a part of him would like to coach in the Big Ten and shove a few victories right down the Illini's throats. His rhetoric has praised the Big Ten this post season. Not saying it's a done deal by any means, but there are high level boosters at Iowa pushing Barta VERY hard in this direction. Would not surprise me to see Barta pull a shiny Pearl out of his hat.

The Hawk job is definitely not what it used to be.

The speculation I've heard is that they think the next coach's team was still playing in the tournament, the implication being it was the NCAAs. However, I think it might be worth noting that Creighton was still playing until last night as well.

That would be awesome. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that.

The local sports writers have kicked him and his wife around for the last couple of seasons. This would be so much fun.

I'm not sure how the basketball would be, but the sideshow would really be entertaining.
