ISU always plays kansas and texas close. Seriously some of you message board people are dumb as ****. We got smoked by ISU and they didnt even have one of there best players. ISU will either beat texas or kansas at home. YOu can take that to the bank. So you guys think Drake is 60 points worse than any big 12 team? I dont think were that bad. ISU is an NCAA tournament team and just like I was right about last night I will be right again. Keep up your "Logical" post it give me a good laugh reading them.

Can you please stop using we? It's getting so confusing when you're talking about Drake.

Prediction: I don't know how many conference games they play in the Big 12, but ISU will win at least 60% of them. They'll probably have 23-25 victories in total. They will be in the NCAA tournament, and if they shoot like last night, will advance pretty far.

If you mean losing almost every game they play when you said "ISU plays Texas and Kansas close," then I agree. Even after watching KU play horribly against Memphis and ISU play very well against DU, there is NO doubt in my mind as to who will win KU vs. ISU (both games) this year. ISU might be NCAA-bound, but they're going to do it as #4-7 in the Big 12. ISU isn't going to be fighting for last against Colorado this year, but they're definitely nowhere near the level of KU or Texas.

Right. Well you can say I was wrong when he plays for the NBA. I don't care, it's not going to happen. He'll be a star in the NBDL. Again, please find me when it happens and I will admit I was wrong.

And, it's not a big head - it's confidence in our team. I see nothing wrong with that. You certainly have confidence Brackins will get in the NBDL. Oh, AND in ISU. Please. Then are a freaking big 12 school - they SHOULD be good. It's about time they are able to step it up and play a game for once. They are going to get SLAUGHTERED in that conference. I can't wait to see their game against KU. Some DBag on ESPN.com actually said ISU could beat KU this year. Barf. Get real. Go back to your public school with back-tat cheerleaders that ruin my game.

Quick question, why the hell do you keep referring to to drake as "we"? You're clearly an iowa state fan so dont try to tell the members of this board that "we" should never be able to expect to win games against the all-mighty iowa state cyclones.

It was just two years ago that drake beat iowa state by 37 points. i certainly dont think that it is unreasonable for drake to expect to win some years. This was not one of those years, but next season or the one after that who knows..

In the meantime quit pretending to have some interest in Drake and talk with the other clone fans on cyclonefanatic.

Brackins will have a star-studded career in the NBDL. I can't wait to see ISU get slaughtered by KU.

Hey BT - your nephew is stepping up! I've been an admitted sourpuss toward him but he has really stepped it up. I am very proud.

That being said, I am going to take my frustrations out in a petty way. The ISU cheerleaders. Not only did they ruin half the game because they kept standing up and blocking my/our view, but they kept making comments. Such as:

"I think my high school gym was bigger than this."

After I yelled "Wedel" loudly: "What is she even saying?"

I wanted to remind them that anyone can get into public school. I wanted to shove their Hilton Magic up their Cy.

Per Barnes, it wasn't rational given his offers, but it was rational with all the writing on the wall and the head games that Barnes played with ISU fans that last week.

Most ISU fans went from thinking we had no chance, to thinking he was staying home, based on the amount of time that Barnes was spending at our practice facilities, the way he invited the Ames community to his incredibly publicized signing, and the reputation he had for being a completely stand up type kid. Barnes played Cyclone nation like a fiddle, and he showed have known better. I have no problem with him picking UNC over ISU, I just wish he hadn't done it like he did.

Ill be sure to post a new topic tell you all I told ya so I'm a fan but I'm also rational. ISU bigs vs our bigs is a HUGE advantage for ISU. Josh is the best gaurd of the two teams but overall I think ISU has the advantage as well. This game won't be close. I look forward to hearing the exuses why we got blown out.

Excuse #1 - Fair weather ISU/Drake hybrid fans
Excuse #2 - Staiger got p!ssed about the German phrases I yelled his way.
Excuse #3 - I don't know, but your Big 12 public school can still kiss my arse.

I should hope we can still play a game without JY. Our team shouldn't rely on one guy. We love him, but next year we won't have him. Gotta let go of the pacifier at some point.

HA! I'm too far in student loan debt to be buying anyone a beer but myself. I didn't think food in the West End was a problem, as I've seen the bartenders order it plenty, just looking for some first hand confirmation.

I was originally thinking this would be a blowout, but after some more thought, I'm not sure. ISU's main advantage right now is experience. If Young plays, and is remotely healthy, the Dogs will at least have two Seniors playing.

While ISU's players have some experience, I'm not sure they are as great as advertised. ISU fans tend to think that every player they sign is one of the greatest players who ever lived. Two years a go it was Steiger. Did he really turn out to be as good as we were led to believe by the Ames Register? I think Drake got the better player from the German team. Brackins is good, but so far this season has not looked like an NBA first round draft choice. Gilstrap is the latest greatest, and while I haven't seen him play, his stats aren't what I was expecting after hearing all the hype.

The Bulldogs do not look to me like a team of players that is going to crack under pressure. The cyclones have demonstrated an ability to collapse under adversity pretty consistently over the past few years.

ISU should be favored by 10-12 points, but I wouldn't count the Bulldogs out.

Yea, technically R is a season ticket area. We thought about buying one actual season ticket in section S so if people every contested us we could show them that ticket and get to sit there. But yea, we get there an hour before the game every game to get those seats. Sigh. We are always quite worried during these big games. We'll see. Our actual seats blow.
