You've got to consider that he played for Gary Garner who did not allow players to shoot during the game for fear they might score. Daryl Lloyd would have probably averaged 25ppg playing for anybody else. Joey Wright went from 2-3 ppg to 20+ when he transferred to Texas.

RE: Iowa Energy Signing

Drakey (6/10/2008)
So DU, I've been trying for several weeks to remember the name of that guy who played for Garner in the mid 8o's who was like 28 years old and had been in the military before starting college. Great defender.

Drakey....I think I have your answer.....pubguy got it right.

From the 1987-88 Blue Ribbon Yearbook:

The third junior college transfer is 24-year-old junior Donahue Kinsey, 6-4, from Tyler (Tex.) JC. The Army veteran averaged 16.5 points and 8.5 rebounds last season at Tyler and also is a top defensive player.

The 1988-89 Blue Ribbon mentions that he averaged 2 points and 1.5 rebounds per game as a junior for Drake.
