Phelps mentioned the "Drake Way" in the interview with Larry this morning. He's definitely got the message from the admin., good thing. The rest of the NCAA world needs to come up a bit to the Drake standards.

They say Arthur had a 3.0 as a sophomore at KU. huh Does anyone believe it was in anything significant? I'd like someone to prove me wrong, but it just seems like the "big" programs are really good at getting their guys "grades" in something or other.
RE: I'm glad Drake doesn't have problems like this

Interesting take on KU and all that by Jason Whitlock ....

KCStar

Got a few comments from them Rock Chock folks, of course.

I don't agree with Jason's comments about how the NCAA should be involved with the high schools, financially or whatever.

And, his last sentence obviously should have included Drake along with Davidson.

I couldn't stand to get through much of the "reader" comments. Maybe someone else can.

Anyways, the more somebody actually makes these people do some academics, the better Drake's chances are!

Courageous stuff to write in KU country. Good job, Jason Whitlock.
RE: I'm glad Drake doesn't have problems like this

"something it had no knowledge of from Arthur’s high school academic career."

wink, wink

Who does KU think they're fooling?

I'd like to see a story on how much "academics" Arthur did at KU. And an NCAA investigation surely would happen? Oh, wait, the "big" programs ARE the NCAA.

RE: I'm glad Drake doesn't have problems like this

I'll bet he hires an agent now.

I'm glad Drake doesn't have problems like this

KU starter had grades changes in high school to keep/make him eligible.

link
