Slow it down??? My goodness, this is a NON-contact sport where physical intimidation is the rule of the day! Common sense will never apply as long as the rule-enforcers don't.

For me, they've all but ruined the sport. Might as well play football September - March!

RE: Knee Injuries

It has become quite a common problem.
The way the game is played today, it's not all that surprising.
Both the men and the women put a lot of stress on their bodies.
I love the game and I appreciate their efforts, but I often wonder if is worth the possibility of future problems.
Very few truly recover during their active career, maybe never.

Kind of off topic, but I recently saw a game where the two teams had a total of 7 knee braces on 22 players in warm-ups. Each team also had a few on the sidelines that were not participating because of injury or health concerns.

Concussions seem to be growing in number as well.
I have mixed emotions about what it would do to the game, but maybe it's time to slow things down a little. I think a little less action might be a good trade-off for a few less injuries.

Knee Injuries

It isn't only Morgan Herrick and Brittnye McSparron who have been plagued with knee injuries. Morgan Reid, a Drake recruit from North Kansas City, injured a knee a month ago and will miss the rest of the season.
