Give Evansville back to the Horizon and put in St. Louis would be fine with me.
Extra attention for the Valley tournaments would be a good thing.

Drake needs to get away from the directional/state universities and start a new conference with stronger academic standards and better men's basketball.

This is a conference that would make waiting for automatic NCAA bids worthwhile:

Drake
Creighton
Butler
Bradley
Evansville
Valparaiso
Dayton
Xavier
St. Louis

Keep Rice and Tulane in mind if they decide multi-million dollar football deficits are overwhelming, forcing them to drop football and withdraw from Conference USA. Although they're currently suffering hard times in basketball, they could make this a great baseball conference. And an excuse to roadtrip.

With either 9 or 11 members, there would be an equal number of conference games played home and away.

TV potential would improve, and there would be potential for football sponsorship (maybe with some associate members in that sport).
