He had 14 points and about 6 rebounds. He is a big big man. Talked to him after the game, said he had a lot of fun and he will def be a good fit for ISU next year. He is a bit slow I think, so I hope that doesn't equate to a lot of fouls but I am sure Jank will work on his footwork and he will be a good fit for us. Here is some stats on other players... Rayvonte Rice going to Drake was by far the stud of the game, he is scary good. He was pulling up in people's face from wayyyy out and hitting. This kid is going to be a killer for DU."

I have two questions:

1. When did IlSU recruit "Tree" Rollins? (Is this his son, or grandson?)
2. Why does McB sock puppet on the IlSU board as goredbird54? Every Big East and ACC school gets back on D the way Drake does on the 3's. When the shot is taken inside of 10', the 4 and 5 crash and the sometimes the 3, depending on where they are on the floor. Teams will make exceptions for a 2 who happens to have a knack for the boards, but you will never see 4 or 5 guys crash. The last two years Drake has started 3 small guards at the 1 -3 spots. There is no way on this planet Coach P will ever incorporate that type of size into his offensive rebounding scheme.

As far as the staff's working with the players, they did and they will. Look at Ben S. 6'7" but a horrible rebounder to start the year, never screened out, arms at side, stared at the ball. By the end of the year he was trying to screen out, he went after the ball, and even got his hands on a few. The change came about because of coaching. There's still a lot of work to do, he needs to get stronger, he needs to get his butt lower, he needs to get off the floor, and he needs stronger hands. I have no doubt the staff knows all of this and is working on it with him. I did sub in a few of his classes, and talked to him a few times, but he is probably somewhere around 6'2 at the tallest. His biggest asset at least at the beginning is his athleticism, and his strength, the kid is built like a football player. If he can pick up a consistent outside shot, no question he could be all-conference by the time he graduates. I think Drake is getting a steal."

I think RR is a huge get, but for the team I think Ben Simons's development is equally important. Between the two of them, they have the potential to create a ton of mismatches at the 2 and 3.

Also, DUB, how tall was Lewis Lloyd?
RE: 2010 commit Rayvonte Rice

From the redbirds:

OT: Drake-bound Rayvonte Rice

RE: 2010 commit Rayvonte Rice

Most outstanding player and co-most valuable even though the team lost.
