Toyota of Des Moines has been a very loyal sponsor of Drake Athletics even when it was not fashionable to be a Drake fan.

That's important to remember. The Gabus group in general has been a great sponsor of Drake athletics, and we should thank them for it.

It sounds based on this unscientific poll that some Drake fans are too sensitive to any criticism of Drake, and being somewhat neutral in this state, I see the same type of complaints from Iowa and Iowa State fans that complain that the media is biased against them. The fact is that overall, the media in this market is pretty fair to all the teams and that includes Marty and Miller.

I see a lot of complaints that are more about Marty's style than his content. It's one thing to be negative. It's another to be a JA about it. He has almost nothing meaningful to say unless there's a big story, and I tune him out.

I don't understand Marty's hatred of Drake. I rarely hear anything positive come out of his mouth. The other day he was bashing the Drake neighborhood saying how unsafe it was. Marty clearly lives in West Des Moines.

He hates Drake because his economic interests are with the Energy. If people are going to the Knapp they won't be going to the Well.[/quote]

Considering It would only take ten Drake fans to triple the mighty Energy's attendance, I think we can take the hit.

MT must get a percentage of the gate and free popcorn.

I may be in the minority, but I appreciate both Toyota of Des Moines and Marty and Miller.

Toyota of Des Moines has been a very loyal sponsor of Drake Athletics even when it was not fashionable to be a Drake fan.

Marty and Miller have devoted more time to Drake athletics this year than either Iowa or Iowa State and the majority of it has been positive. Marty sometimes goes overboard in his opinions, especially concerning his certainty that Josh was going to transfer after the coaching change, but he is a talk show host that is paid to generate discussion and he does that very well. Miller often takes the opposite position of Marty and at the end of the day, it is entertaining and that is the whole point.

Rumor has it Marty was severly ripped by both Toyota and KXNO for his Drake bashing.

The truth is he likes to watch Energy players urinate in public. Gives him some sort of perverse thrill.

Let Bill play.

I don't get why he likes to stand under the balcony while they do it!
