Thank you Dr. Tom for everything you have done for Drake University and the Des Moines community. I hope you and your wife Shari find lots of time to enjoy your grandson, Brady.

So long, Dr. Tom.

Have fun in New England.

Nice place to visit, or live, parts of it anyways.

Your son's gonna need lots of support in this transition!

Keeler in his blog says Drake needs to honor the Davises. He suggests naming the Arena / Court / Training Center / Something after Tom and Keno. I'm all for Dr Tom Davis Court. Keno's name should be nowhere near that high an honor. Maybe they can rename a urinal after him or something.

He should have shown more respect to the men. He should have gone to the Capitol. The bad taste isn't as strong but it's still there.

I'm sorry, but one good year doesn't mean they need to be honored by naming the court after them. If anyone it should be Paul Morrison Court or Dolph Pulliam Court, or someone who actually has put their heart and soul into the program for more than a few years.

Ridiculous. All these damm coaches are in it for their own purposes, not Drake's. They're totally gone after ONE good year is evidence enough.

Emmenecker doing what he did this year, and being THE NATIONAL Acacdemic All-American, is so far beyond anything else for 37 years, it should hardly even be discussable.

Also far beyond the Davis thing is the effort Klayton put in at Drake for 5 years (you all know I'm repeating myself again ... but it's worth it). And Leonard overcoming and sticking it out at Drake like he did.

These 3 guys really really honored Drake University. Way more than any prestige-hungry money-hungry coach fraternity person ever will these days.

Forest Avenue becomes Emmenecker Way, that's what I say.

I also agree about Paul Morrison and Dolph Pulliam being more deserving, about a thousand times over.

Willie McCarter, too.

Plus, just for fun, the rest of us (few dozen) who stuck it out all these years. If you're on here, congratulations. It was a long, strange trip we endured to get to one fantastic year.

Urinals are too valuable, call the Urinal cakes, Keno Cakes.

Tom Deserves more, so mayby call the field house the Tom Davis Field house. but the man who ponied up the cash for the Arena shouldn't be pushed aside for a one year coach.

you know Goodwynn Kirk dorms have a name for every floor, how about KENO WORLD. PARTY ON EXCELLENT.

Big Bull keeps the faith!!!
