If guitar playing was a sport.....Steve Hackett would be the all-time leader in touchdowns. I'm excited to see that DUBulldog shares my great taste in music. Now I wonder what others here are into. I'm a snob when it comes to music. So I'm sure the rest of you are on thin ice before we even begin.

Wow....that brings back memories!

Marshall Crenshaw

Grew up loving Crenshaw although I have not listened to him in a few years. Good stuff. And yes....I've ALWAYS been a fan of Neil Young and the JGB. I can't even count the number of times I saw Neil, Jerry and Bob Weir in northern California. Bob and Billy K. took me scuba diving once. Super guys to hang out with. Bill's wife, Shelly, use to give me free passes to all the Bay Area Dead shows from 1987 to about 1991.

Badfinger! "Day After Day" is one of those tunes that just sticks in yer head forever. Can't believe I still have vinyl from Badfinger. Good stuff!

I'm also a big fan of.....The Tubes.

You can kill me if you want, but I'm like Pavlov's dog now with Journey, with that one song. Forever associated with about as glorious a time as we're ever gonna have with Drake basketball in our lifetimes.

Other than that, I love Grace Slick, and some Guess Who, and BTO, and lots of other stuff from an interval around 1970 when those kinda people seemed to actually have something useful or interesting to say. Carly Simon was on Tavis Smiley last night ... fascinating stuff, her growing up with Einstein coming over for lunch, and meeting Dr. King, etc..

I still listen to Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock sometimes. Amazing stuff.

Where's that kind of interesting stuff from people now?

Anyways .... 80s somewhat "obscure" reference .... I loved Concrete Blonde. Anybody else?
