I'm watching CU vs ILS in the first semifinal. Cirone is having a horrible game, but ILS is pulling away, up 10 with 5 minutes left. Not to get ahead, but I'd rather see CU win after Drake dominated them twice in the regular season. Drake played ILS tough twice, though, and they should match up well with either team if they make the final.

ILS wins 68-60. Bring on the Aces, and then bring on the Redbirds.

Thank goodness we have that half behind us.
Now if we can just find some offense to go with the defense, we can go out and win this game!

FWIW, A suggestion in a different thread, "Watch on muted TV and listen to Scott and Laura" sure isn't working today. The radio is ahead of the TV coverage. What's up with that, anyway?

Drake wins 46-41 It's a rematch of the men's tourney final with DU vs ILS.

DU held UE to 2 points in about the first 13 minutes of the second half to erase a five-point halftime deficit. Jill Martin is good

Woo hoo! What a great game!

And I get to pop up on the big screen at the Knapp Center along all the other fans on site. I sure hope everyone in Drake Nation left in Des Moines heads to the Knapp Center early so they can join us in cheering the women on to victory.

The older I get, the better I was.

You're not the first person to ask that question. While I'd like to say "we're so good, we can see into the future", the truth is when they uplink a game like this, it's take a little longer than my phone line to get back to the distributor. So, what you're seeing on television is almost about a second or so behind "real time".

By keeping the radio volume quite low, I was able to really impress my wife with my ability to "see into the future" for a short time.
I figured the uplinks could delay things, but I thought the radio would have been the one delayed.
Anyway, good job with a good game. Do it again today!

I didn't have a chance to watch TV and listen to the radio yesterday, but if the women's tournament is like the men's tournament, the radio is about 8 seconds ahead of the television.

Another difference is the new digital televisions. After yesterday's selection show, one coach (sorry I can't remember which one) said he had the team at his house watching in several rooms. He was watching an old analog TV downstairs and had time to walk upstairs to see the reaction of the team members watching the hi-def TV in the living room after their seed was announced. Between satelite uplinking and digital TV's, we may have seen the last of this option.
