| Lehigh would be a great addition to the Bulldog football schedule. The academic integity and strong athletic traditions of both the Patriot and Ivy Leagues would provide many interesting and competitive matchups. These games would provide really positive East Coast exposure for a new generation of prospective Bulldog student athletes.Teams like Waldorf and Wisconsin-Platteville bring nothing to the recruiting or name recognition table.
GO BULLDOGS !! |

| From the Lehigh "Any Given Saturday" site
Re: Drake to Open at Lehigh September 6? - Yesterday, 01:10 AM
Seems like a weird game. A lot of travel for what could be a lopsided game. Being a non-scholly, I don't think Drake can consistently compete...
Do we get a lot of not on scholarship = can't compete talk from the opponents?

That board has an isolated, narcissistic group of fans. The players will come to play. |

| Hey now, I am widely acknowledged as the most well liked and respected poster over at AGS! Those folks just eat up my insight on the teams of the PFL! Let's just say that for the most part, the AGS community is not a fan of non-scholarship football unless it is the Ivy League. Even the Ivy League takes some lumps on AGS. I would say to pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, ( AGS ), and go out and pound Lehigh! Dayton did it to Fordham last year, there is absolutely no reason why Drake cannot pick up a nice win to start 2008 out on the East Coast! |

...with the exception of the Loyal Opposition, of course. |

DU and Lehigh had been scheduled for 2001 & 2002, but Drake was pushed aside when Georgetown joined Patriot League football and Lehigh needed dates for them.
| | Indeed, it is. Drake took advantage of the extra week in August the NCAA made available this season. |
