I know this is being discussed in the Summer League thread, but thought it deserved it's own thread.
He's still listed on the roster, but I've heard from people who are not on this message board that he's gone.
Nothing confirmed at this time.

Are you hearing that he's transferring?

I saw no news on it? Who or what proclaimed it?

I've only seen a lone post about it. I've heard nothing on this.

This will be one of those years, when you least expect it, greatness will happen. Winning coach - winning ways.

He's definitely not with the team (Same thing DUB just posted, I edited this one), so that's not a good sign. But I don't think the London thing people have been throwing around is correct.

This isn't proof of anything, but DrakeBasketball just posted this picture on twitter. 11 of the 12 players listed on roster are there. TJ is not.

Tj is looking to play overseas. He was always complaining about going to class.

+xTj is looking to play overseas. He was always complaining about going to class. Timing is bad. Wish Coach had known about this before the signing period closed. Dogs will be woefully deficient in size.

Dogs will be woefully deficient in size. Bulldogs had 2 openings prior to this (assuming that TJ has left). I'm guessing that Medved was still out there looking for guys for the coming season. I know one thing he mentioned during his initial press conference was not looking forward to having to fill 6 scholarships after next season......I doubt he'll want to leave these scholarships open this season, because that would mean he'd have 8-9 open scholarships after next season. I still expect some (incoming) roster news sometime before school starts in August. No clue who they might be looking at.

I wonder if they would grant Samm Jones a one year scholarship just as a courtesy (unsure of the precedent of that). Since they probably wont be able to fill everything.
Although now that I think about it, I feel like there were a few transfers Drake was looking at that I don't think I've heard so elsewhere, maybe they can do it.

Back in the Rudy Washington days, Drake used to routinely pick up guys long after the signing period....Lynnrick Rogers was by far the best of those.
Giacoletti picked up Jacob Jenson in August. It's definitely not unheard of to pick up players during the summer, after the signing period.
I wonder if Medved is looking at foreign players at all....might be more likely to get a solid player by going that route.

I doubt there will be any announcements about the remaining scholarships until after classes start unless it is about transfers.

This offense will be interesting if they can't find any more 3,4 or 5's. Basically gunna have to be 4 guards almost all the time.

+xI doubt there will be any announcements about the remaining scholarships until after classes start unless it is about transfers. Per NCAA rules, I don't think the coach/school can talk about any new players until they have signed a letter of intent or have started classes, so this would be true. But, news of any new players will probably hit somewhere on the internet before Drake can announce it.

Obviously, that would lead to some defensive and rebounding problems.....but it would also certainly create mismatches for the opponent as well. I think McGlynn and Schlatter will start at the 5/4, but probably will see a lot of time with 4 guards on the floor....unless Medved comes up with 1 or 2 bigger guys over the summer.

Starting two of the three big guys would make foul trouble even more of a critical issue for the team. That's why I wonder if they just rotate all three through the 5 spot. Certainly going big late in games every now and again if foul situation allows it.
